The Little Things
I want to feel the joy in things
In roses, red wine, tiny rings
A little here, a little there
A rows of tiles, a carpet square
To clean a bit is not so bad
I never knew! It was so sad
With 5 and 15, timer calling
In squalor bad, I'm never falling
My house was once so ugly, dusty
And thus I felt these ups and downs
The basement rooms were cramped and musty
And in my mind I saw the frowns
Of angels from the realms of glory
Watching, caring, wisdom, light
But now I tell a different story
8 blessed months at this fine Site
Thanks to all who share with me
I send a hug, or two or three
Have a great and lovely day
Turning housework into play.
